Jamie Whalen

I have served as Lay Leader Formation Director for the Diocese of Green Bay since 2015. Prior to that, I ministered as a Director of Religious Education and High School Campus Minister. My wife, Sue, and I give thanks for 29 years of marriage, three adult sons, and three grandchildren. The experience of adoption transformed our lives and relationship, as well as our notion of what family could look like. Along the way, we’ve lost count of the times that the Lord has sent messengers to guide and support us, often in ways we could only see through prayerful reflection. I’m blessed to be able to serve the Church and help build ecclesial communion wherever I’m placed, inspired by the example of so many co-workers who are responding to God’s call.

• Witnessing the beautiful ways in which families grew in faith in various parish communities
• Serving as a catechist for St. Matthew Parish, Green Bay, with my wife, Sue
